3 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR RESEARCH SUBJECTS TO BE DEVELOPED AT FONDAZIONE BRUNO KESSLER*, IN TRENTO ON THE FOLLOWING TOPICS:

  • Electronics
  • Decentralisation in fog computing environments: management and orchestration
  • Telecomunications
  • ICT applications and services
  • Magnetic fields

*Candidates will be asked to express their interest and availability for these positions during the interview. Interested candidates awarded one of these scholarships will carry out their Ph.D. activity mainly at the Fondazione Bruno Kessler Laboratories, Trento, Italy.

* Ph.D. positions covered by these scholarships are not pre-linked to specific research projects or supervisors. Candidates awarded one of these scholarships will be assigned a Research project and a supervisor according to their curriculum, background, and research interests. The research project will be discussed and agreed before the start of the Ph.D. cycle. The activity will be performed either at the Bologna or Cesena Campus of the University of Bologna.

2 SCOLARSHIPS FOR RESEARCH SUBJECTS TO BE DEVELOPED AT THE DEI DEPARMENT IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE "DEPARTMENTS OF EXCELLENCE" INITIATIVE

1 RESEARCH GRANT FUNDED IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PON PROJECT "INSIST" ON:

  • Development of techniques for efficient sensor datastream analysis on edge-computing platforms (supervisor: prof. Andrea Acquaviva)

1 RESEARCH GRANT FUNDED IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE UE PROJECT "EnABLES" ON:

  • Energy harvesting and micro-power management for the Internet-of-Things (supervisor: prof. Aldo Romani)
