Courses, seminars and further learning opportunities

Each year, the programme welcomes academics from leading universities and business schools to deliver intensive courses on current topics in management research. In recent years, topics have included academic writing, social network analysis, text analysis, organisation theory, entrepreneurship, innovation management, financial accounting and empirical asset pricing.

The Department’s research seminar series provides regular opportunities to engage with Italian and international scholars presenting work in progress and recently published research.
Among the programme’s long-standing initiatives is the My Cup of Tea seminar series, where members of the academic staff of the Department of Management - DISA present working papers, research projects and reflections on their academic careers, giving PhD students an informal setting in which to exchange ideas and learn from experienced researchers.

This seminar series brings together leading international scholars to explore the impact of digital technologies and artificial intelligence on management practice and research, offering both theoretical and empirical perspectives on the latest developments in the field.

One-to-one meetings with members of the Department’s academic staff to discuss new research ideas, explore potential collaborations and identify potential members of the Thesis Committee.

Participation in national and international research projects led by members of the Department, including projects funded by the European Union.

Collaboration with the Bologna Business School to develop case studies in partnership with businesses, public institutions and third-sector organisations.

Participation in national and international conferences, supported by dedicated funding for presenting and disseminating research.
