The Department of Political and Social Sciences follows the provisions of the University of Bologna that are based on those of the Italian Minister of Health and those of the Emilia-Romagna
Region regarding the SARS-CoV-2.
Currently, and until further notice, all the PhD research and teaching activity are done remotely.
From May 18, 2020 PhD students will have access to Library services.
PhD students who need to access Library Services must contact their supervisors. Supervisors must require authorization to the Director of the Department within the end of the week
preceding the date planned to access the Library (by appointment). All the Department members have been informed about the related procedures.
To access the Department premises PhD students must contact their supervisors who will require authorization to the Director of the Department on their behalf. Such requests must specify a motivation for the need to access the Department. Such requests will be evaluated by the PhD Academic Board.
If accepted, PhD students will have to follow the SAFETY PROTOCOL issued by the SPS Department for the regulated access of professors and researchers to the Palazzo Hercolani, via dei Bersaglieri and Forli Campus premises. Such Protocol specifies norms of social distancing, use of safety masks and gloves, the necessity of registering entrance/exit. Masks and gloves can be provided by the Department when entering the premises.
Access is forbidden in the following cases:
- being positive to SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19);
- being in quarantine;
- if you have a fever (more than 37.5 °C);
- if you have other flu symptoms;
- if you know you have been in contact with people who have been or are infected.
PhD students who know they have been infected by the virus must immediately give notice to their supervisor and the coordinator of the PhD programme.
