Research expenses: how to apply for funding (budget: 10%)

You can apply for a budget of at least 10% of the total amount of the scholarship. This amount is made available by your department, whether you are a scholarship holder or not, to cover the costs of carrying out research activities in Italy and abroad, for a period of up to 30 days.
Recipients of scholarships or funding from international mobility programmes such as CSC, MSCA or foreign institutions are not eligible. Expenses incurred must be authorised and agreed upon in the manner prescribed by the Department.

For example, the following expenses are considered as eligible:

  • registration for congresses and conferences;
  • missions in Italy and abroad of less than 30 days;
  • laboratory consumables;
  • scientific and technical instrumentation;
  • publications;
  • purchase of books or other publications;
