Admission to PhD Programmes- 42° cycle

CLOSED - Admission to D3 PhD Programme 2025

Any suitable graduate student (or graduate-to-be) can present her/his candidacy to the Ph.D. program according to the time schedule defined and published by the University of Bologna every year (the call is usually published in May). Selected candidates must hold a second-level degree (or equivalent) at the beginning of their Ph.D. programme (November, 1st). 

The selection of candidates proceeds through 2 stages:

  1. Applications of the candidates are evaluated (submitted electronically by the set deadline).
  2. Selected candidates are invited for an interview (via Teams) with the admission committee.

The admission committee then publishes the ranking and the selected Ph.D. candidates are requested to officially enroll into the programme.
