The course will be held by prof. Luca Zarri and is part of the training provided for IBES PhD Students (a.y.2025/2026) within the Electrical Engineering (EE) curriculum.
Date: 11 FEBRUARY 2026 from 9:00 to 17:00
Event location: Aula III (ex. Chimica Industriale) - Viale Risorgimento, 4 - Bologna
Type: IBES Course
ABSTRACT
The course focuses on the most recent converters used in high-power applications, such as multiphase inverters and multilevel converters. Also, it illustrates a survey of the most common topologies of power converters, such as the LLC converter and the resonant converters, their control schemes and modulation strategies. The analysis of three-phase converters is based on the space-vector notation. The converters examined in the course are not commonly treated in regular courses, but their use is progressively more frequent in industrial applications
This course is part of the IBES training activities for the a.y. 2025/2026.
