All the training activities that allow IBES PhD Students to accumulate attendance hours (Cycles 38 & 39) and acquire Doctoral Credits (CDs) (Cycles 40 & 41).
Every year, the IBES PhD Board offers various courses and seminars addressed specifically to PhD Students. You can choose the ones that suit your academic needs in order to comply with your academic requirements.
The list of the IBES training activities for the a.y.2025/2026 is available HERE.
The activity schedule will be finalized by January 2026; the timetable for the activities already known to take place before is already available.
Each course will appear as an event in the IBES Agenda and a reminder will be sent by email 1–2 weeks before it starts.
NEW! Each course will have a registration of interest form to help instructors estimate the number of participants and organize the activity accordingly. The form is not binding, but we kindly ask you to complete it responsibly. You can access the form either from the general schedule or directly from the event in the IBES Agenda.
Each training activity allows you to accumulate attendance hours (Cycles 38 & 39) or request Doctoral Credit (CD) validation (Cycle 40 & 41), as long as you meet the attendance requirements and pass the final exam.
The instructor decides on the minimum attendance rate, the exam format, and how the activity will be held (in-person, hybrid, or online), all of which are outlined in the general schedule.
Throughout the entire three-year program, the IBES PhD students enrolled in Cycle 39 must accumulate at least 60 attendance hours by attending IBES training activities for their curriculum.
They may also attend courses offered within other curricula for research-related reasons, subject to the agreement of their supervisor and the PhD Programme Coordinator. They should contact dei-phd-ibes@unibo.it and copy their supervisor.
Recognition of attendance hours
Once the activity ends, the professor sends the list of successful attendees to the IBES Admin Staff, and the PhD Manager updates each student’s attendance record. For any information about your attendance record, please contact dei-phd-ibes@unibo.it.
The requirement to earn at least 8 DCs within the IBES training activities provided for the specific curriculum was abolished by the PhD Board on 20th October 2025, and is no longer effective. The list of academic requirements has been updated.
