You will study literature, cultures, methodologies, and theories of gender studies for the production, circulation, and consolidation of equality cultures, the enhancement of diversity, and inclusion.
You will strengthen the ability to research and critically analyse, developing specific literary and cultural skills from a gender perspective, promoting the culture of gender equality against discrimination based on prejudice of all kinds, the practice of civil rights, the strengthening of gender policies, intersectionality in different national and international work contexts, and the production and dissemination of women's art and culture, also in synergy with the activities of departmental centres (Centro Utopia—Utopia Centre; Centro Studi sul Seicento e Settecento Spagnolo-CSSS—Centre for the Study of 17th and 18th Century Spain-) and inter-university ones (Centro per lo Studio del Romanticismo-CISR—Centre for the Study of Romanticism)
The specific activities of this curriculum include meetings with and tutoring from national and international supervisors; presentation of research at national and foreign venues in accordance with co-tutoring agreements; and curricular training outside the university of 250 hours at research organisations and affiliated facilities dedicated to activities on the theme of equal opportunities, access to education, and the enhancement of diversity.
You could receive a joint doctoral degree with one of the several partner universities with which the curriculum has co-tutoring and joint doctoral degree agreements providing a period of mobility and research lasting 6 months and enrolment in the PhD programme of the host institution. The final thesis must be written in English and discussed in accordance with the agreements with the partner university.
