Learning outcomes: At the end of the course the student knows the setup of the modern theory of dynamical systems and the fundamental notions and results of ergodic theory, appreciating both theoretical and applied motivations. Moreover, the student is able to rigorously derive the ergodic properties of certain simple dynamical systems, and can formulate dynamical problems in exact terms.
