Lecturer: Michele Lucente
Duration: 12 hours
Learning outcomes: At the end of the course the student will acquire an understanding of selected open questions beyond the Standard Model and of their connection with particle physics and cosmology. The course will provide a theoretical and phenomenological overview of the topics, highlighting why several observations imply the existence of new physics beyond the Standard Model, and will survey the most popular solutions that are known in the literature.
Exam: The exam will consist in a mini-seminar (~20 minutes) about one or more published papers adressing the topics of the course. The student can either choose from a provided list of papers, or they can propose suitable papers (subject to approval from the teacher).
