Learning outcomes: At the end of the course the student will become familiar with modern ideas and advanced techniques in string theory. The student will reach a solid understanding of advanced tools to carry on research in selected topics in string theory like string compactifications, string phenomenology and cosmology, supergravity effective actions, dualities, worldsheet computations, dynamics of gauge theories on branes and more.
