His fields of study and research mainly concern the pedagogy of play and sport, the outdoor education, the educational iconography, the early childhood education. He is co-director of Encyclopaideia, international journal of phenomenology and education. He is director of the Center for Research and Training on Outdoor Education, in the Department of Life Quality Studies.
