Spaces

  • PhD working room

    Dedicated space for the study and research activities of the Department’s PhD candidates, located at Piazza San Giovanni in Monte 2, Bologna, open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (access via university badge).

    Equipped space for teaching activities and entrance examinations, located at Piazza San Giovanni in Monte 2 (Bologna), open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    This service allows PhD students to interact online with the offices of the University of Bologna (access restricted to users with @unibo credentials).

    The Intranet Portal provides secure and direct access to internal resources and services of the University of Bologna (access restricted to users with @unibo credentials).

  • U-Web Missioni

    University of Bologna web application for managing research missions in Italy and abroad (access restricted to users with @unibo credentials).

  • CedoliniWeb

    Platform to view scholarship payment slips, any additional allowance for stays abroad, and download the annual tax certificate (access restricted to users with @unibo credentials).

  • StudentiOnline

    Studenti Online is the online area reserved for the students of the University of Bologna, which allows students to easily carry out online all useful procedures during their university career.

Authorization for missions in Italy and abroad

To request authorization for a mission in Italy or abroad, PhD students must submit a written request to their supervisor and the PhD Programme Coordinator, copying phd.global@unibo.it. The request must include the dates, location, and purpose of the mission. Before departure, and regardless of whether reimbursement is requested, PhD students must register the mission in the U-Web Missioni application.

Additionally, to request a scholarship increase, candidates must attach an invitation letter from the host institution indicating the name of the contact person abroad, and send to AFORM the authorization decree issued by the Doctoral Board at least 30 days before departure.

10% Budget

PhD candidates may request a budget equal to at least 10% of the total scholarship amount. This budget, managed by the Department, is intended to cover expenses related to training and research activities.
Eligible expenses may include:
- travel expenses in Italy or abroad (transportation, meals, accommodation, visas, conference fees, etc.) related to research activities;
- scientific and technical equipment;
- language editing or translation services;
- purchase of books or other publications.
