On October 21, a new edition of Becari@s Knowledge Day will take place — this time dedicated to exploring applications of artificial intelligence (AI) that go “beyond ChatGPT.” What role does AI play — and will it play — in other fields?

Four leading voices will share their perspectives and applications, from medicine to robotics to global justice:

  • Maria Bauzà Villalonga, researcher in robotics and artificial intelligence at Google DeepMind, will explore where robotics stands today, where it is heading, and the challenges that remain to be solved.

  • Juan José Beunza Nuin, specialist in internal and tropical medicine, and founder of the IASalud research group, will address the following question: How are AI tools applied in healthcare?

  • Irene Martínez Morata, doctor and epidemiologist specialized in environmental health, will explain how we can use data to improve public health and medicine.

  • Albert Njoroge Kahira, engineer specialized in computer science, will analyze what AI scaling means and how it is applied in different fields — from language to health to justice.

The event will be held online, free of charge and open to everyone. The scheduled time is from 6 to 7 pm.
