Developing transferable skills
Transferable skills programmes offer the opportunity to broaden one’s skills beyond the disciplinary field, providing valuable resources to effectively tackle academic and professional challenges. The courses focus on developing communication, organisational and management skills, enhancing research capabilities, and preparing candidates for a strong and flexible career path.

Artificial Intelligence and University Policy
A series of meetings to learn, understand and make informed choices.
The University is organising a series of seminars on generative artificial intelligence, exploring its technological, practical and ethical aspects for responsible and sustainable innovation. The initiative involves the entire university community, offering insights and resources to address the challenges posed by future technologies. English language
The doctoral programme includes a compulsory annual study cycle. Each postgraduate student, within the three years of his or her doctoral programme, must attend the compulsory English language course(s) indicated in their study plan:
- students starting from a basic level (below B1+) will have to attend the basic English course;
- students at a more advanced level (above B1+) will follow the Academic English courses.
English language courses are provided by the CLA - the University Language Centre.
The level is set at the beginning of the academic year, after verification by a test at the University Language Centre - CLA. Each English language course will be deemed passed with 70% attendance.
Exemptions from the English language course
- you are a native English speaker,
- you have carried out a period of research abroad in an English-speaking country or in which English is used as a vehicular language;
- you can provide official certification of existing language ability (IELTS; Cambridge);
- you have obtained a master's degree from an international course of study or abroad in an English-speaking country.
