ABSTRACT
The course focuses on the problems of modern electric mobility. It reviews the vehicle configurations, the electric drives and power electronics converters commonly used and the problems of batteries and energy storage. Also, the course discusses the sustainability of electric mobility by combining user needs, technological limits, and models of use, focusing on the charging of electric vehicles (cars and heavy-duty vehicle). The technical, economic and practical limitations of the different approaches will be analyzed, followed by a presentation of optimized solutions.
