Reliability and availability of electrical systems

The course will be held by prof. Andrea Cavallini and is part of the training provided for IBES PhD Students (a.y.2023/2024) within the Electrical Engineering (EE) curriculum.

  • Date: 13 JUNE 2024  from 9:30 to 16:30

  • Event location: Sala Giunta DEI - Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering "Guglielmo Marconi" DEI - Viale Risorgimento, 2 - Bologna - In presence and online event

  • Type: IBES Course

ABSTRACT

The course recalls the mathematical definitions of single-item reliability and availability (the latter using the approach based on Markoff chains). The solution of simple systems (series and parallel) is thus discussed. Eventually, the concepts are applied to a radial distribution system, seeking the best configuration.
