The BESTNATURE project (https://www.bestnature.unitus.it/) aims to train students (Bachelor, Master, and PhD) on the themes of the European Biodiversity Strategy for 2030. It’s a joint initiative between Italy, Austria, and Germany - and it’s fully funded (travel, accommodation, food, etc.)!
The course is worth 6 ECTS and consists of two mandatory parts:

Module A (3 ECTS): You choose a topic (see below), work on a literature review with your assigned tutor, and present it in a short webinar before the field week.

Module B (3 ECTS): The field week in Tuscany, where you’ll work directly with instructors on your chosen topic and help mentor Bachelor’s and Master’s students during practical biodiversity monitoring. In order to earn the 3 ECTS AND to get re-embursement for the travel and accommodation costs related to the field week, we expect all students to provide a report on the activities they carried out during the week.
