The principle of experimental modeling is based on the use of physically tested materials that allow to respect the similarity criteria in reproducing processes that have spatial and temporal geological scales. The seminar will provide a "taste" of this methodology, describing its philosophy and history. Furthermore, the realization phases of an experimental model will be described.
