Aims of the PhD programme.

Acquisition of an accurate methodology for the scientific study of:
1. Literary texts. Comprehensive familiarity with texts is required: from critical editions to the study of their reception and their formal and linguistics components;
2. Linguistic systems from a synchronic and diachronic perspective;
3. Digital Humanities and Semantic Technologies, based on the integration of humanistic and computational knowledge and methods.

Such a complex methodology will provide the skills necessary for a range of different educational paths and for numerous professional fields. Specifically, university research and teaching; secondary school teaching; the publishing sector; journalism and cultural consulting in public administration and in the numerous sectors where new technologies and human science meet.
