Bologna

  • Historical center

    Bologna is the seventh most populous city in Italy. The first settlements date back to at least 1000 BC. Famous for its towers and lengthy porticoes, Bologna has a well-preserved historical centre.

    The building is a prime example of twentieth-century architecture, designed by architect Giuseppe Vaccaro and inaugurated in 1935.

  • San Petronio

    The Basilica of San Petronio is the main church of Bologna. It is the tenth-largest church in the world by volume. With its volume of 258,000 m³, it is the largest church built of bricks of the world.
