LECTURES:

The module deals with the ethical, legal and social issues (ELSI) of (bio)technologies and specifically on how to apply existing ethical regulatory frameworks to new challenges created by AI applications in healthcare and research. The focus is on the research in medical and bioethics on the one hand, and in AI ethics on the other, with the twofold aim of (1) developing theoretical bridges between these two areas, and of (2) addressing the importance of embedding ethical values, interests and principles in AI systems in the field of biomedicine.
