40 Cycle PhD Credits

Starting from the 40th cycle, the PhD program in Sport, Health, and Wellness organizes the doctoral training pathway into 180 doctoral credits (DC) distributed over three years. The DCs measure the workload required of the PhD candidate in research activities, research training, and teaching to obtain the Doctorate diploma.

Table A illustrates the distribution of Doctoral Credits (DC) and the percentage of credits among research, research training, and teaching over the three years

Table B illustrates the minimum distribution of DCs  among the different research training and teaching activities

Table C illustrates the DCs that the PhD student must acquire by the end of the 1st year, the end of the 2nd year, and the end of the 3rd year, including both the recommended amounts and the minimum required at the end of each year. In order to progress to the next year, the PhD student must have acquired at least the minimum number of DCs by the end of each year

Table D illustrates the correspondence between the hours of classroom engagement and self-study and the credits acquired. This correspondence is divided by type of activity
