Seminar "Lean Construction and sustainability in AEC"

The seminar ‘Lean Construction and Sustainability in AEC’ (0.5 CD), coordinated by Prof. Marco Bragadin, will take place on 7 October from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm in the Transport Lecture Theatre of the Palazzina Frigerio, at Viale del Risorgimento 2, Bologna.

The seminar will feature presentations on sustainable building design and the challenges facing the property market at both national and international levels. In particular, the following speakers will take part:

Prof. Marco Bragadin: Lecture on the definitions of Lean Construction and how it applies to building systems;

Research Associate Davide Coccolini: Application methodologies for Lean Construction;

Prof. Giorgia Predari: sustainability and key themes in the PhD programme, and study programmes within the Department of Architecture;

Prof. Vanessa Assumma and Eng. Lucia Petronio: will present evaluative and spatial tools to support decision-making for the implementation of urban and territorial transformation policies;

HOAS – Kim Lindholm (Real Estate and Facility Director) and Marika Nyysonen (ESG Sustainability Manager): will demonstrate how student housing is planned, built and managed in the Helsinki metropolitan area. In particular, the case of ‘HOAS – Foundation for Student Housing in the Helsinki Region’ will be examined in depth, presenting multiple case studies with a further focus on planning through Takt Time, Aware Worksite and Lean-based ways of working.
