The '25-'26 educational plan of the Doctorate in Architecture and Design Cultures provides both hard and transversal activities that mirror the main research areas of the Ph.D. in Architecture and Design Cultures.
There are mono-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary courses, and seminars for a total of 164 CDs.
Doctoral students can define their own study plan, together with their Supervisor and eventually with the co-Supervisor.
The Ph.D. student is responsible to contact the Lecturers well in advance to inform them of your participation and to follow the procedures indicated in the individual educational activities.

Description of Contents and Educational Objectives:
The call for projects, still being finalized, aims to imagine a new idea of the city for Cagliari through the architectural design of public spaces and new buildings. The program and dates will be further defined in the coming months. A site visit to Cagliari is planned for February 2026. The projects will be presented in the fall at an exhibition-conference at the University of Cagliari and collected in a catalog (Quaderni di ProArch_Intersezioni). Maximum number of participants for the Doctorate: 5. Any selection will be made through an interview and presentation of the project portfolio.

Description of Contents and Learning Objectives:
The training module aims to provide doctoral students with knowledge, skills, and a critical perspective on the relationship between research, design, and innovation.
In 2026, it will be structured around three sessions that also represent possible declinations of the research: THEMES-PROCESSES-PERSPECTIVES.
- THEMES. 1 Seminar (approximately 4 hours) held in collaboration with FADU University (Buenos Aires, Argentina) dedicated to exploring cutting-edge research topics at the intersection of Advanced Design and Innovation.
- PROCESSES. One-day training (6 hours) dedicated to understanding the implications of the peer review process in the evaluation of scientific production, as part of evaluation training (title: New Perspectives on Peer Review: Practices, Criteria, and Emerging Technologies, in collaboration with Dr. Lorela Mehmeti).
- PERSPECTIVES. One-day training (approximately 6 hours) held in collaboration with ArtER and dedicated to: PhD and the Law of Talent in ER.
