In total, according to the resolution of the Board of Directors dated 02/27/2024, 306 monthly salaries have been assigned to the doctoral courses, i.e. at least 6 monthly salaries for each doctoral course active at the University in the academic year. 2024/25 (51 doctorates in total). The attribution of at least six months' salary for each doctoral course has the sole objective of quantifying the budget to be allocated to the doctoral ranking but is not binding for evaluation purposes. The monthly salaries attributed to doctoral courses and departments/department aggregations will be distributed based on the duration of the mobility chosen by the candidates applying (from 5 to 30 days in the case of short mobility or from 2 to 6 months in the case of long mobility) and until they run out.

As regards the criteria for evaluating doctoral student applications, two aspects will be taken into account: the internship project (subjective evaluation, up to 60 points) and the career (objective evaluation, up to 40 points). The evaluation of the doctoral students' applications (which converge into a single ranking) will be carried out by the coordinators of the doctoral courses (identified and contacted by the offices based on the doctoral course in which the candidate is enrolled) and by a commission made up of six professors, a representative for each scientific disciplinary area as foreseen in the Academic Senate and chaired by the PhD delegate.
