Cycle 39
PhD Thesis: Tailored DNA/RNA Suits for Immunogens
Supervisors: Giovanni Perini / Amelia Escolano
Biographical Note:
I completed my Bachelor's in Microbiology from Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan. Following that, I pursued my Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Bologna, Italy. During my Master's thesis research in Professor Giovanni Perini's lab, I focused on Orthogonal M13 Phage-based Photodynamic Therapy of Neuroblastoma, which ignited my passion for innovative medical research. Currently, I am immersed in my doctoral studies at The Wistar Institute (USA), where I am engaged in cutting-edge research on utilizing aptamers for the immunomodulation of HIV epitopes under the supervision of Dr. Amelia Escolano. My research aims to produce broadly neutralizing antibodies (BnAbs), offering a promising avenue for enhancing immunity against HIV.
