ABSTRACT

This course will focus on different advanced topics, such as robotic grasping, with particular attention to hand-object interaction and stability of the grasp, tele-manipulation based on the passivity/dissipativity theory and the energy tank concept, robot redundancy and the stack-of-tasks control approach. Finally, the course will investigate the use of reinforcement learning to adapt the robot behaviour to unknown environments and objects, with particular attention to the case of mobile robots moving in unknown environments and robotic manipulation of unknown or deformable objects.
