Funding opportunities that could facilitate PhD students studies from a financial standpoint.

The Marco Polo Program aims to provide mobility incentives to promote research carried out abroad by young researchers from the University of Bologna. Any use of the Marco Polo scholarship is incompatible with the increase in the PhD scholarship.

Budget 10% - research and training expenses for PhD students

You have a budget at your disposal of at least 10% of the value of the scholarship corresponding to your PhD programme, to support research and training activities in Italy and abroad.

50% increase in the scholarship for stays abroad

For PhD students with scholarships it is possible to request an increase in the amount of the scholarship up to 50% for periods of stay abroad.
