Admission exams

The criteria below are valid for the last active PhD cycle. For the Call currently being activated, please check the PhD Application Form on the Unibo website, under the "List of PD programmes" section (https://www.unibo.it/en/teaching/phd).

 

Evaluation criteria: qualifications and research project + English oral test

Points will be allocated out of a total of 100 points, distributed on the basis of the following weighting:

 

1. Evaluation of qualifications and research project - minimum for admission to the oral exam: 30 points - maximum: 50 points

Only qualifications relating to the last 5 calendar years prior to the calendar year of publication of the Call for applications shall be taken into consideration, with the exception of the University Degree (Diploma di laurea). Please note that qualifications must be consistent with the PhD Programme. 

The maximum score for the evaluation of qualifications is 20 points

The maximum score for the evaluation of the research project is 30 points

 

2. Oral exam - minimum for suitability for the final ranking: 30 points - maximum: 50 points

Oral examination includes the presentation of the research project and is intended to assess the suitability of the applicant to pursue scientific research as well as the general knowledge of issues connected to the PhD Programme. The oral examination is carried out in English.

The maximum score for the oral exam is 50 points
