Teaching Activity

The training and teaching activities of the Research Doctorate in Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences are mainly based on advanced biomedical research and advanced training activities carried out in laboratories and research infrastructures. Seminar training activities or attendance to conferences of specific interest are proposed by individual Supervisors to individual PhD students, but PhD students can also attend seminars common only to the PhD in Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences or common to the whole medical area, i.e. offered to all of the PhD students enrolled in the PhD Programme in Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences and to the PhD Programs of the Medical Area of the University of Bologna. Only in the last three years, at least 3 seminars for each year have been proposed common to all PhD students of the Doctorate in Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences and at least 2 seminars common to the entire Medical Area. These seminars were held by eminent Italian and foreign scientists, including Nobel Prize Laureates in Medicine.

In addition, PhD students follow specific laboratory training didactic activities, held by Personnel belonging to the Safety and Health Services (12 hours, in collaboration with the People and Organization Area of the University and with Safety Reference Coordinators of the departments), and attend training activities organized by the University, such as training courses on research management and knowledge of European and international research systems, exploitation and dissemination of results, intellectual property and open access to data and research products, fundamental principles of ethics, gender equality and integrity.

Finally, PhD students also attend a Scientific English Course for their specific language training.
