Aims: This course aims to provide an in-depth understanding of advanced research methods and their application in the social statistics and population field. It seeks to develop a comprehensive understanding of demographic trends from both a developed and developing country perspective. Particular attention will be devoted to the adoption of a longitudinal life course perspective.
Learning outcomes: At the end of the course, students will be able to: gain a thorough understanding of advanced statistical techniques and their applications in demography; analyze demographic data and trends from both developed and developing countries; understand and apply longitudinal and life course perspectives in demographic studies; conduct empirical research using real-world data to investigate demographic questions; Interpret the effects of demographic changes on contemporary societies.
