- Admission to the second/third year
Before the meeting of the Academic Board that deliberates about admission to the second/third year, and, if possible, after the internal seminar delivered by candidates, supervisors are requested to express their evaluation of: the work done by the candidate; the candidate's admission to the next year. This has to be done by sending an e-mail to the Coordinator (deadline: September 20th).
- Admission to the final exam
In view of the admission to the final exam, the Academic Board is asked to:
1) deliberate on the admission of doctoral students to external evaluation;
2) designate external examiners for students admitted to the final exam. In particular, 2 evaluators are needed, plus 2 substitutes, for each student.
Supervisors are requested to express their evaluation of the work done by the candidate and the candidate's admission to the external evaluation by sending an e-mail to the coordinator (deadline: September 20th).
Supervisors are also invited to take action for suggesting 2 (+2) possible external reviewers, to be contacted by the Coordinator. These suggestions are not binding, as such appointments are the prerogative of the Academic Board. Can take on the role of evaluator:
a) full-time university professors and researchers with a fixed-term contract not belonging to the University of Bologna and partner universities;
b) experts with proven qualifications at the national and international level in the specific field of the thesis, belonging to public or private research institutions not affiliated with the course doctorate. In this case, the qualification of the evaluators will have to be certified by the Academic Board.
For each evaluator (effective and substitute) the following data will be needed:
o Name and Surname
o Email address
o Country
o Affiliation body (if present)
