The learning activities, including courses and seminars, organized as part of the PhD Programme
The learning activities of the PhD programme are divided into two periods.
In the first period (October-December), PhD students participate in the Research methods course, which offers a broad overview of the main research methods used in translation, interpreting and intercultural studies, and discusses examples from recent developments in these fields. The course aims at introducing participants to the essential prerequisites and necessary tools to undertake independent research projects. The course is held in English.
In the second period (January-June), learning activities take the form of seminars on various areas of interest for the PhD curricula. Seminars are held both by members of the PhD Board and of the DIT Department, and by national and international experts. The complete and updated list of these activities can be found in the Agenda section of the website (page in Italian).
During the second period, a course on Academic English is also offered through the EPIGEUM e-learning platform.
