The Forefathers: A Digital Edition

The Forefathers is the title of a work consisting of four parts, published by Adam Mickiewicz (a leading writer of the Polish Romantic era) in 1823. Since its publication, this work has been regarded as a flagship example of what Polish Romantic poetry truly represents. Incredibly popular during the author's lifetime, this work underwent 10 reprints, and an unspecified, significant number of subsequent editions after his death. Therefore, it is an exceptionally challenging work from a publishing perspective.
