Advanced Cyber Physical Systems - Neuromorphic computing: From Spiking Neural Networks to Neuromorphic Accelerators

The course is held by prof. Andrea Acquaviva and is part of the training provided for ET-IT PhD Students - a.y.2022/2023

  • Date:

    20 OCTOBER
    -
    27 OCTOBER 2023
     from 11:00 to 13:00
  • Event location: Room 1.4 - Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering "Guglielmo Marconi" DEI - Viale Risorgimento, 2 - Bologna - In presence and online event

  • Type: ET-IT Course

The course is primarily meant to be attended in person. For this reason we kindly ask you to fill out the following form if you like to attend online.

ABSTRACT

This course will first introduce the basics of Spiking Neural Networks, starting from simple to more complex neuron models and the main learning procedures. Code examples will be used to show how to develop simple networks and training them. In the second part of the course, an overview of the main neuromorphic accelerators implementing SNN in hardware will be presented.

SCHEDULE

20th October, 11 AM - 1 PM

27th October, 11 AM - 1 PM

This course is part of the training provided for ET-IT PhD Students in the academic year 2022/2023.

The ET-IT PhD Students who attend both parts of "Advanced Cyber Physical Systems" and pass the final tests are entitled to:

  • ask for credit validation;
  • gain attendance hours (only for those enrolled in cycle 38).
