Minimum requirements needed for admission to the final exam
To achieve 24 Doctoral Educational Credits (Crediti Formativi di Dottorato, CFD)
Recommended requirements for admission to the final exam
First (or co-first) author in two publications (published or accepted) on a topic related to the doctoral research in international journals indexed in Scopus or ISI Web of Knowledge for bibliometric fields, or journals belonging to class A for non-bibliometric fields.
Participation with a contribution (poster or oral presentation) at an international conference related to doctoral research.
At least three months in a University/Research Institute of high profile in the field inherent to the doctoral student's research, in Italy or preferably abroad, previously approved by the Teaching staff. The period abroad is strongly recommended for Italian doctoral candidates. Vice versa, for foreign doctoral students, being in Italy already represents an international experience, and therefore it is not essential to spend a period outside Italy. The Teaching staff may temporarily suspend this requirement when objective conditions make periods of residence difficult or impossible.
