ABSTRACT
The short course provides the basic knowledge in the field of electromagnetic compatibility of electric/electronic devices. The main topics are coupling mechanisms between EMI sources and victims, crosstalk, nonideal behaviour of passive components, conducted and radiated emissions, conducted and radiated immunity, practical issues in EMC design, EMC measurement and EMC regulations and standards. The students are given an understanding for the solution of conducted and radiated electromagnetic interference, with particular reference to EMI filters and methods and techniques of electromagnetic shielding.
