GRANT & RESEARCH BUDGET

For the PhD positions with scholarship/research grant, the amount of the grant is defined by the Department and PhD Board at the start of the PhD Cycle, according to the minimum-maximum range established by the national rules (decreto ministeriale). The amount of the scholarship is published in the call for applications.

During the periods of research abroad, the PhD students with scholarship have an increment of the scholarship, equal to the 50% of the monthly scholarship. Each period of stay abroad must be at least of one month, to require and obtain this increment.

All PhD students have a research budget to cover the expenses relevant to the PhD activities. The budget is  equal to 10% of the scholarship (around 5.300€); it is available for the student research expenses and it is allocated to the Supervisor, who must approve the expenses.

PhD students can perform remunerated activities (tutorship, course teaching, other remunerated activities) but they must require prior authorization by the PhD Board.
