DIMSAI doctoral students have access, upon request to the contact person, to the equipment of the research groups belonging to the DIN, the CIRI or the other UniBo structures located both in Bologna and on the various campuses.

PUBLISHED RESOURCES
Doctoral students can consult, on site or via VPN, the electronic collections of e-journals, e-books and manuals from the main international publishers, as well as technical standards and other external databases, such as IEEE, MathSciNet, Scopus, Web Of Science, SAE, ASME, ASM, etc.

SOFTWARE
Doctoral students have access to a significant number of design, calculation and simulation codes, which cover the needs of all disciplinary sectors included in the doctorate (Matlab, Hexagon, Labview, Mathematics, Solid Works, Comsol, Ansys, PTC Creo, Autocad, etc). The research groups also activate licenses for the software of greatest interest for specific research topics; the use of this software is possible by agreement with the license contact person.
OFFICES
PhD student rooms and dedicated offices are located in the Department to host doctoral students in the Bologna and Forlì offices. Some Department offices are set up to host doctoral students together with tutors. In the same areas, resources for electronic calculation are also available both at the level of research groups with specific dedicated software and in the 3 labs where the general-purpose software for numerical and symbolic calculation are installed.
