Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering – Earth Resources Engineering from University of Bologna, 2023, grade 110 with honors, thesis in large-sample assessment of hydrological modeling performance & transient climate impacts: a comparative analysis of three lumped conceptual models in 114 Australian basins using open bid datasets" with Prof. E. Toth. M.Sc in Water Resources Management and Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, 2014 B.Sc in Civil Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology, 2012. Professional experiences for 6 years in water supply infrastructure design and execution, and collaboration with SAIPEM on international oil and gas projects, focusing on offshore seabed pipeline design and risk assessment, along with the development of engineering analysis software. Leveraging various programming languages (Python, MATLAB, and R), and skilled in engineering software packages such as AutoCAD, SGeMS, EPANET, SWMM, and QGIS/ArcGIS. His research interests include hydrological and hydraulic modeling, hydrological time-series analysis and predictions, water resource management, hydrological extremes, water distribution systems, the impacts of climate change on water systems, and the application of machine learning and deep learning methods in water resources management. His current research is conducted within a collaborative framework involving the University of Bologna (DICAM) and the Institute of Geo-Hydrological Protection (IRPI) of the National Research Council (CNR) in Perugia. Utilizing data from NASA’s Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission and other open databases, the project explores critical interactions between rivers and coastal water bodies, particularly as climate change accelerates the occurrence of extreme events like floods and droughts. By improving the accuracy and reliability of satellite-based hydrological data, this study will enhance the ability of policymakers and water resource managers to predict and mitigate climate-related risks. The project will also involve global and regional hydrological assessments using both remote-sensed and in-situ data.
