Multidisciplinary approaches to risk management

The idea of this Seminar Series, mainly addressed to UNIBO PhD candidates, is to discuss with an informative character how risk is interpreted and managed in different fields of study and research. Lectures will be given by UNIBO researchers focusing on risk management from different perspectives.

Risk @ UNIBO is an initiative of the UNIBO Working Group on Risk (Scientific Coordination: Alessandro Marzani, Federico Casolari). Weekly meeting, Friday 2-4 PM.

Contents:

  • Risk defintions, elements of probability, risk assessment and analyses;
  • Specific risks in various scenario (seismic, landslide, polluted sites, tsunami, flood, alluvial, explosion, terrorist attack, digital);
  • Domino effect, risk managment, loss estimation;
  • Case studies and lesson learned.
