The PhD Board

The Phd Board plans and manages the course: it is responsible for scientific and educational activities within the PhD course.

Since AMI is a joint PhD, the teaching staff is composed of members of the University of Bologna, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the University of Parma.

In detail, the PhD board:

  • defines the evaluation criteria for admission to the course;
  • identifies supervisors;
  • plans training and research activities, for each academic year and for each student;
  • defines the rules for the annual evaluation of the work done and the results produced by doctoral students.

The PhD Coordinator

The coordination of the PhD Board is entrusted to a professor belonging to the University of Bologna

The coordinator is elected by the teaching council from among its members and appointed by a rector's decree. He has a three-year term.

The coordinator oversees the activities of the PhD course, convenes and chairs the PhD Board.

The coordinator now in charge is Prof. Niccolò Cavina

PhD students

Each academic year, the PhD program in Automotive for intelligent mobility enrolls about 20 PhD students.

Each student joins a research group in one of the laboratories of the University of Bologna, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and University of Parma.

In agreement with their supervisor, students immediately begin to develop the research project.
