Specific information and documentation for Automotive PhD students is available below.
Main formal requirements to be fulfilled for the admission to the final examination in Automotive Engineering for Intelligent Mobility:
- Having performed a research period abroad of at least three months (instructions on how to request the authorization by the PhD Board may be downloaded below). Over the 3 years, each PhD student is required to complete a study, training and research stay abroad of at least 3 months (a stay divided into separate periods, lasting no less than a month, is acceptable). The obligation can be extraordinarily waived for reasons of force majeure, such as illness, maternity/paternity and, for the case of Industrial Doctorates, lack of authorization by the employer due to unexpected changes of the working conditions in force at the time of the PhD Course. For further information concerning PhD students' mobility abroad (such as procedures, obligations, Marco Polo program, Erasmus+ program, etc.), please refer to the University of Bologna PhD Intranet Website: https://intranet.unibo.it/Ricerca/Pagine/DottorandiMobilitaEstero.aspx
- Having published at least four technical/scientific papers in International Congresses or Journals. At least two of such papers have to be published in International Journals ranked Q1 or Q2
- Having successfully been admitted to each consecutive year of the PhD Course, during the yearly evaluation exam in September, by demonstrating the acquisition of the Doctoral Credits required each year
