Formazione dottorale per un'Europa in cambiamento: governance globale, clima e giustizia sociale

How can Europe respond to the challenges of global governance, climate change, and social inequalities? And how can future researchers and supervisors be equipped to contribute meaningfully across disciplines and borders?

These are the core questions that drive the new Una Europa interdisciplinary training programme for doctoral researchers and supervisors, taking place from 17 to 21 November 2025, at Leiden University – The Hague.

Designed for early-stage PhD students and their supervisors, the programme will combine online and in-person sessions, bringing together a vibrant, international community of scholars. Participants will dive into research methods, policy engagement, academic publishing, and inclusive supervision practices, all within the framework of Europe’s evolving role in the world.

But this is more than a skills course. It’s a unique opportunity to think critically and collaboratively about Europe’s global future and to become part of a growing network of researchers building that future, together.

Who is it for?

• First- or second-year doctoral candidates from Una Europa universities
• Doctoral supervisors engaged in interdisciplinary research
• Scholars committed to inclusive, cross-border collaboration
• Participants with at least B2 level of English

Submit your application by 1 June 2025 – 23:59 CEST

Doctoral researchers are asked to include a letter of support from their supervisor.
A selection committee, composed of staff members from Una Europa universities, will review applications based on the candidate’s biography and motivation.
