The Bartlett School of Architecture is hosting a conference on Parliament Buildings organised by Professor Sophia Psarra in collaboration with Dr Uta Staiger, Executive Director of the UCL European Institute and Pro-Vice-Provost (Europe), Dr Claudia Sternberg also from EI, and with funding from UCL Grand Challenges. The event takes place over two days (12-13 November) in the mornings.
The event is an international interdisciplinary conference with high quality contributions from architecture, political science, anthropology, anthropology of architecture, social science and the humanities. Part-two will be run in February (18-19). The range of nations covered by the presentations (in both conferences) includes the 27 countries of the EU, other European nations and some countries outside of Europe. David Mulder from XML Studio (Parliament) and Jonas Staal from Studio Jonas Staal are guest speakers in the first conference on 12-13 Nov.
