Data: 18 NOVEMBRE 2024 dalle 17:00 alle 19:00
Luogo: Aula Gambi - Evento in presenza e online
Tipo: seminario
This seminar encourages PhD students, especially from a historical and archaeological, but also from a philological background, to consider one basic question: how useful are current approaches to ancient Roman landscapes, effectively based on divisions imposed by ancient administrators? Is this the only way to conceptualise Roman space(s), or even the most useful one? Based on an investigation of the spread and regional/chronological dynamics of Roman verse inscription, this seminar will invite early career researchers to reflect on current methodology and future perspectives of spatial thinking in our study of the Ancient Mediterranean.
