Seminars on biology of human ageing

1st year - 2 credits

Learning objectives

The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge on the molecular, genetic and epigenetic mechanisms at the basis of the process of ageing that, according to the Geroscience concept, are shared with non-communicable, age-associated diseases; biomarkers of ageing, demographic transition and features of extreme longevity are also discussed.
