EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

The PhD program aims to train researchers capable of independently designing and conducting research in the medical, preclinical, and clinical fields on the proposed topics.

Particular emphasis will be placed on the opportunity to acquire innovative and multidisciplinary knowledge, leveraging cutting-edge technologies.

Within the four main research areas of the PhD program, various interdisciplinary projects are being developed, including:

  • Basic research in molecular biology, cellular biology, and microbiology
  • Development and application of innovative medical technologies, such as steroidomics, metabolomics, and minimally invasive and endoscopic surgery
  • Creation of 3D virtual models of anatomical structures
  • Precision surgery
  • Use of virtual reality models
  • Bioengineering
  • Clinical research
  • Study of cognitive and emotional-affective processes in modulating clinical outcomes
