Information on the final exam

All PhD students enrolled in the last year of the course must apply for admission to the final exam and submit their thesis within the deadlines established for each PhD cycle.

Each thesis is subject to the judgment of at least two evaluators, chosen by the Teaching Commission from persons external to the institutions that compete for the award of the degree and not part of the jury. The evaluators express a written opinion on the thesis and propose its admission to public discussion or postponement.

The PhD students admitted to the public discussion in the first instance following the favourable judgment by the evaluators will take the final exam in the presence of the jury on a date established by the Academic Board of the PhD Course. The students for whom the evaluators have foreseen the postponement of the public discussion will take the final exam in the presence of the judging commission at a later date, again established by the Teaching Commission of the PhD Course.

We request the publication in indexed international journals of at least five original works per year, the active participation with the presentation of abstracts at least two congresses per year or the publication of a book chapter or a monograph. At the end of the three years, it is also necessary to publish at least 3 articles reviewed on PUBMED with impact factor.
